Spring 2021 Pitches Open!

Pitches for Emerson Shakespeare Society’s Spring 2021 season are now open!

Emerson Shakespeare Society produces classics and classics-inspired work. In addition to Shakespeare, we produce plays written prior to the mid-century modernist movement and contemporary plays which rework or reimagine the classics. If you have always wanted to direct a pre-modernist or classic-inspired contemporary work now is your chance!

Online Student Reading

Online Student Reading

As many of us have learned over this past year, being an online student is hard. Among the challenges of learning in an online environment is the lack of social and extra curricular activities students usually get at school. We’re trying to change that. This fall, Emerson Shakespeare Society presents a staged reading for online students only. Any online Emerson student with any major can sign up — no audition required.

This fall our online reading will be Romeo and Juliet, directed by Jake Tolentino.

Sign ups are now live for Romeo and Juliet!
